Published in Hardcover by M Evans & Co (April, 1976)
Average review score:

A good reviewThis book is GREAT! There are tons of stories about gullible people and ripoffs that will knock you side ways. Nash's continual use of the word sucker is also amusing. A big book stuffed full of many details. A good research book for writers i would suggest.

I Want to Enjoy My Children (Workbook)
Published in Hardcover by Broadman & Holman Publishers (October, 1995)
Average review score:

I am confident this book will make a difference in our home. One of my pet peeves is when a parenting book is general, and I'm left asking "But what should I do in *this* situation?" Dr. Brandt gives lots of examples of how his principles work in specific situations, with stories from various families he's worked with. It was refreshing to get such clear advice from someone who was telling me that first and foremost I need to love my children and treat them with the respect they deserve just because God made them. Thank you, Dr. Brandt! I gave away my "Growing Kids" book years ago. I read the Sears sitting on my shelf, but Brandt's book is one that I have gone out and raved about to all my family and friends! It's off my shelf and on my table right next to Shepherding a Child's Heart!

If Kisses Were Colors

Beautiful and Fun To ReadThis is a great book, not just for kids, but for the parents who have to read it to them. My kids (4 1/2 and 3) love the slightly quirky, colorful illustrations and the simple, rhyming text. They always laugh at the fun paintings of elephants with strollers and acorn men. And it's just as much of a treat for me to read after having to endure so many mind-numbing, repititious kids books. Definitely one of the best kids/parents books to come along since Don Carter's "Heaven's All-Star Jazz Band."

Indefensible Weapons: The Political and Psychological Case Against Nuclearism
Published in Paperback by Basic Books (November, 1991)
Average review score:

Kritik of NukespeakLifton and Falk's INDEFENSIBLE WEAPONS. This cites been given many times for the nuclearism kritik, but most people still think the kritik only applies to nuclear language (i.e. saying "nuke"). Lifton and Falk write some good cards saying denying the impact of nuclear war entrenches the nuclearistic illusion. Psychologically we think nuclear war isn't that bad and a real world nuclear holocaust occurs. If you want some extremely depressing, yet flaming nuclear war bad cites, I'd suggest Schell's famous book THE FATE OF THE EARTH.
